Cute, But Not That Funny

THIS IS WHAT I BEEN WAITING TO SEE SINCE 2007. I couldnt wait til this film came out. I had the poster on my wall before they even had a realese date. I was soo bummed when they pushed it back another month but finally the film came out on friday...and honestly its what I expected.

Jerry (Jack Black) is a junkyard worker who attempts to sabotage a power plant he suspects of causing his headaches. But he inadvertently causes his brain to become magnetized, leading to the unintentional destruction of all the movies in his friend’s (Mos Def) store. In order to keep the store’s one loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair re-create a long line of films including The Lion King, Rush Hour, Ghostbusters, When We Were Kings, Back to the Future, Driving Miss Daisy, and Robocop, putting themselves and their townspeople into it. They become the biggest stars in their neighborhood.

This is a great idea, I wish I came up with this idea. The movie didnt have scenes that was included on it's youtube ( http://youtube.com/user/BeKindMovie ), I really didnt expect it to be gut busting comedy (it wasnt) I knew it would make me smile because thats just the type of film that puts a smile on your face. I just wanted to grab my camera after the movie and film my own movie. Actually, alot of people are doing that now. Check out

http://beta.filmmakingfrenzy.com/sites/filmfrenzy_beta/ViewFrenzy.aspx

This shows regular people (Im guessin not all film makers) making...excuse me I should say "sweding" thier favorite movies. Its really cool. For "Be Kind ReWind".. Im not sure if I was expecting anything out of it that I didnt get. I love this film as much as I love "Enternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" but this film here gets a 6..maybe 7 out of 10.

check out the sweded trailer

It's Better The Second Time Around

I just got the unrated extended version of American Gangster (I wish I bought the 3 disc edition but I couldnt afford it so I only got 1)and the film is wayyyy better than the first time I saw it. The tone seemed to be different, I loved the new ending because the old one sucked. It showed the way gangstas shift generations...a before and after..the producers must of got my review and Ridley Scott must of understand what I expected of the film. THIS IS THE VERSION I WANTED. This is my blue magic. Make sure if you gonna buy this DVD, its the extended unrated verision. I just got the documentary "Mr Untouchable". The case says "it makes American Gangster look like a fairy tale, theres nothing Hollywood about it". Well I know there are some things in the film thats nots true but I'll be the judge of that (if its like a fairy tale) but for this DVD, i give it a 10 out of a 10.

WTF DID I JUST WATCH?

Revolver is a 2005 movie, written and directed by Guy Ritchie (Madonna's husband). The film stars Jason Statham as Jake Green, Ray Liotta as Dorothy Macha, and André Benjamin (a.k.a. "André 3000") as Avi. It centers around a revenge-seeking confidence trickster whose weapon is a universal formula that guarantees victory to its user, when applied to any game or confidence trick.

I couild watch this film 5 times in a row for a week and still wont understand what I just watched. No wonder it took so long to get released. I cant even tell you what it is about because it was soooo confusing. He did soo much better with "Lock, Stock and Two Smocking barrels" and "Snatch" Im not sure how things went wrong with this. There was not enough action, most of the scene was Jason goin crazy, showing his inner thoughts and flashbacks...I cant say I really enjoy this film. It was just released on DVD..wait for it on tv.

Micheal Jackson's MOVIES!!!!!

I got to admit, the king of pop maybe a werid guy but he is really creative. What other artist do you know who makes his own movies/music videos? I love this guy's work..his videos are not like any others. HE HAS THE MOST FAMOUS DIRECTORS DIRECT HIS FILMS.

John Landis directed this one, John directed "National Lampoon's Animal House", "An American Werewolf in London" and my ALL TIME FAVORITE "THE BLUES BROTHERS". "Thriller" is a 14-minute music video for the song of the same name released on December 2, 1983 and directed by John Landis. It was the most expensive video of its time, costing US$800,000, and the Guinness World Records in 2006 list it as the "most successful music video", selling over 1 million units. The film starts out as a werewolf movie and then into a zombie. This is my favorite video of all time.

The full music video for "Bad" is an 18-minute-long short film written by novelist and screenwriter Richard Price(GREAT WRITER), directed by Martin Scorsese (director of "The Departed" and "GoodFellas")and starring Michael Jackson. He stars as a boy from the hood (who was sent to a prep school) who comes back to his old neighborhood. He hangs with his own gang (and one of the memebers is WESLEY SNIPES) and they feel like since he went to that prep white boy school. He aint bad no more. He's not down, so he has to prove it to them....in dance and music.. HA! Great story line, wish it kept going after the song.

Captain EO was the only video (from what I heard) that didnt go to video. This was only for Walt Disney Land. It stars Michael Jackson (of course) and was directed by Francis Ford Coppola (THE DIRECTOR OF "THE GODFATHER"),and executive-produced by George Lucas (THE MAN BEHIND STAR WARS!!!!). Captain EO is the only attraction to open at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland within such a short period of time (6 days). EPCOT's Captain EO opened on September 12 and Disneyland's opened on September 18, 1986. Most attractions debut at one park and, if successful, are copied at another Disney park a year or more later. It closed at Disneyland Paris on August 17, 1998. The movie tells the story of Captain EO and the ragtag crew of his spaceship on a mission to deliver a gift to a wicked alien queen, the Supreme Leader, on her home world of rotting, twisted metal and steaming vents. Its no longer at disney, its replaced by "Honey I shrunk The Audience"...hmmm..why? The film was cute, you can find it on Youtube. Micheal had way better acting performances. I wish it was on dvd though (I already signed a petition).

Rather than featuring one continuous narrative, the film is a collection of short films about the entertainer, several of which are long form music videos from Jackson's Bad album. The best video in this movie was "SMOOTH CRIMINAL". Jackson plays a benevolent gangster who uses his powers as a crime figure to protect the children of an unnamed big city. The video was so crazy, it even had its own video game (I used to own it...I miss it soo).

Micheal returns with another horror video. GHOSTS is a short feature film which could also be classified as a long-form music video The film tells the story of a scary Maestro with supernatural powers, who is being forced out of a small town by its mayor (also played by Micheal). The movie includes a series of dance routines performed by Michael and his "family" of ghouls. Every song from the film was taken from Michael Jackson's HIStory and Blood on the Dance Floor albums. It was directed by Stan Winston and written by Micheal and (ONE OF THE BEST WRITERS ON THIS EARTH) Stephan King.

You Rock My World was close to a film. Like many of Jackson's music videos, this one takes the form of a short film based on a story written by Michael Jackson and Paul Hunter. It follows a story in which Michael Jackson and Chris Tucker spot an attractive woman (played by Kishaya Dudley) and follow her into a nightclub (called the 'Waterfront Hotel' in reference to the famous film starring Marlon Brando, who plays the club's owner in this music video). Obviously, they are not wanted there, because it seems the woman already has a love interest (played by Michael Madsen). However, Jackson is determined to meet this woman. This one could of easily been a longer short film. Add a back story, a longer begining..another ending. It would of been great.

And there you have it, the best Micheal Jackson movies. When I meet him, I gotta direct a film for him.

A Ranchier Version of "Pretty Woman"

The film is about two people. Lazarus (Samuel L. Jackson), a deeply religious farmer and former blues guitarist, and Rae (Christina Ricci), a young nymphomaniac. Lazarus's wife has left him for his brother, which has left him a bitter and violent man. Rae's boyfriend Ronnie (Justin Timberlake) leaves for deployment in the National Guard, and in his absence she degrades herself into bouts of promiscuity and drug use. During one of Rae's binges(moods), Ronnie's friend Gill (Michael Raymond-James) tries to take advantage of her. She laughs at his advances and he severely beats her. Believing her dead, Gill dumps Rae by the side of the road and drives away. Lazarus discovers Rae and brings her home to nurse her back to health. As he helps her, he find out what kind of girl she is. How she sleeps around. How every guy in town had his way with her. How she is used as a man's play thing. He cant have that so he tries to turn this ho into a house wife.

I honestly think this was a great film. A straight 10 out of 10. Sure its a lil dirty but it has a great MESSAGE (ladies, Im talking to ya'll). Its like that book "Silas Marner" and the movie "Pretty Women". It has sex. drama, comedy, drugs, romance, music (THE GOOD OL BLUES), Religion...everything you need in a movie. I say rent this DVD or buy a copy of you're own.

THRILLER 25 Aniversary

I know, I know. How is "Thriller" a movie? It WAS 14 MINUTES!!!! Thats no music video, thats a short film/musical. Today I went ahead to buy the CD/DVD. It have 7 bonus tracks feat Will.I.AM, Kanye West, Akon, and Fergie plus an unreleased track from the original album. The DVD was not that great. It only had Bille Jean, Beat it and Thriller video and his performace on the Motown special back from back in the day. It should of had the making of Thriller On the DVD. I mean I have the VHS from back in the good ol' days but VHS is like....old. I dont even know where that tape is anymore. I bought it at Walmart and for an extra to dollars you can get the "Thriller fan Pack" which includes Micheal's Number Ones DVD. I mean I already have most of these videos from his "HIStory DVD" but I got it because of his "You Rock my World Video", "Blood On The Dance Floor", "Man In the Mirror", "Dirty Diana", and "You are Not Alone" (which is not on my other dvd). It has Smooth criminal (which I love) but its the short version which sucks big time but for Thriller it gets a 10 out of 10. Great (short) story. Great Song, great Direction from John Landis. It's a great catch. Im gonna do a film call "Remaking Thriller". Im not gonna tell ya anything about it. It's such a great story, I dont want no one stealing it from me.

Blast From The Past

That's right, Im finishing what I started. Im putting the final touches for my first feature film. If you dont remember the film, check out the trailer.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=GhwOn5ZUNzc

Now I know you're asking "Why?" Well while I was in the hospital this weekend (wont get into why I was there)I was in the same room as the room I stayed in 2006 when we was workin on Cost Of love and I was just gettin so many flashbacks and memories of what I was thinking that night and one of those thoughts was I want to finish the movie. I want to finish "The Cost Of Love". So thats excatly what Im gonna do. Im gonna finish what I started, tell the whole story. So who ever has the dvd, that last scene does not count. This scene is gonna replace it and the film WILL continue from there. Check it out. If it dont work, go to the youtube link

Much Love

The Bigger The Meal, The Bigger The Crap

Since the movie "Transformers", we have been waiting for this "J. J. Abrams Project", also known as "Cloverfiled". Finally, here in 2008 it comes out and its supposed to be the biggest film of the year. It made $83,748,371 (thats an estimate) in 2 months...but my friends...dont beleive the hype. Great trailer, great story, not to much of a great movie. The movie opens with a "Property of the U.S. Government" watermarked screen declaring that the viewers are watching a "Digital SD Memory Card" of video pertaining to U.S. Case Designate "Cloverfield", found in an area "formerly known as Central Park". The found footage that follows makes up the rest of the movie, all shot via a hand-held camera point- of-view...now this camera point of view is shaky trough out most of the film. From what I have heard, people had motion sickness watching the film. As if they rode a roller coster. The movie follows five friends running from an unidentified attack on New York City (why is is always NY that get hit first)that interrupts a going away party. The rest of the film is just them trying to escape the city. I mean great story, I like it...I just didnt like it was done. I expected more and the whole "Hand Held Camera" thing...I thought it would be cool like the "Blair Witch Project" and all but it wasn't. I was just so hyped up and let down. I thought I would feel the fear that I once felt in "I Am Legend" but the movie didnt even suck me. I was just..Oh wow. With Legend, I was like "OH MY GOSH" and "RUN WILL RUN!!!". Plus, the camera thing is wrong. The battery would of died out after 30 mins because he wasnt using the viewfinder and was using the LCD screen (which kills the battery faster). It would of been better if it was done the tradational way..now I dont know how to make the film better then it came out but I would give it my best shot cause Im not a fan of how this came out. The Dvd will b release in april but it's still in theaters now. I say wait for the dvd and watch it in the dark. I give it a 6 out of 10. Great story, Crappy movie.

Welcome Back To The Wild Wild West

Honestly, I havent seen that many westerns. "Four Brothers" is based on a western but it doesn't count. Theres "Wild Wild West" and "Back To The Future 3". I know, it's sad. My favorite Cowboys are James West (Wild Wild West) and Sheiff Woody (from Toy Stoy), that has to tell you I barely seen any western movies but then I saw 3:10 to Yuma. It is a 2007 Western film that is a remake of the 1957 film. It stars Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Chris is a rancher who needs money. Russell is the bad guy in this film. Straight shoot em up thief, after he gets caught Chris gets paid to transport to him Yuma for imprisonment but Russel's crew are not gonna let that rock and will not stop until they get him back. THIS IS A GREAT FILM. This is a great western. Great story, great direction, great cast. I love it. Buy the dvd or rent it. Its a great film, it really is.

I Know Who Killed This Movie

The Director did. Oh man, this movie would of been soo much better if it had a different director. This director was trying to have a "visual style". There was no need for one, the script was great it didnt need it. An small town is rocked when Aubrey Fleming (Lindsay Lohan), a bright and promising young woman, is abducted and tortured by a sadistic serial killer(who been killing girls for a minute).Soon they find a traumatized Lindsday Lohan who regains consciousness in the hospital insists that she is not who they think she is. That the real Aubrey Fleming is still in mortal danger. Im not gonna tell you what happens. Its would spoil the movie. The ending is a shocker, it really played out well. I see now Lindsay is no longer that Disney girl from "The Parent Trap" cause she has a sex scene in this film. I give this movie an 8 out of 10...I blame the director.

Movies That Only Scare Men

To the fellas, I want to remind you the words of a song. From BBD themselves..."Never Trust A Big Butt And A Smile" and the words of Will Smith "Girls Are Nothing But Trouble". Always remember those words. From the begining of time, girls been screwing us over. Since Adam and Eve but I know some players gotta play but ya'll got to be careful for them....

"FATAL ATTRACTION"

This is the film that started it all. It is a 1987 thriller about a married man who has a weekend affair with a woman who refuses to allow it to end and who becomes obsessed with him. It stars Michael Douglas, Glenn Close and Anne Archer. It was directed by Adrian Lyne(one of my favorite directors). This is one of the scariest thing that can happen. A booty call who wont hang up the phone...but what if its not someone you messed with...what if she was just....

"The Crush"

A journalist, moves into a new neighborhood where the young Adrian Forrester lives. She is fourteen years old, half his age. She becomes very interested in him, but he rejects her advances, especially since she is so young. Her parents don't realize she is a femme fatale lolita. She then sets out to destroy his life—and him. This girl took his condom that he did with his girlfriend, put it in her, beat herself up and told cops he raped her. That is A NO NO!!!!! Dont say, only white girls will do something that crazy...black women too, when they realize

"The Thin Line Between Love and Hate"

This was Martin Lawerence Directriol debut. He wrote and directed. Martin played this club promoter who had women all over him. He got one girl to the next and he meets this rich real estate agent that he just had to get some from. So he tries hard to get her but she wasnt gonna give it up unless he love her...he broke his own rule and told her he loves her. FELLAs, dont tell your girl that unless its true. Shorty ruined everything for him. Burned his club, destroyed his car, she even came up to him momma's crib...HIS MOMMA!!!! It's crazy. Dont think this only happen to guys who cheats. This can happen to any guy who has a ....

"Swim Fan"

Swimfan is a 2002 psychological thriller film, considered a Fatal Attraction for a teenage audience. Benjamin Cronin is a high-school jock who once had a "drug problem". An aspiring Olympian, Ben is training to impress a visiting athletic scout from Stanford University. Ben is dating a girl named Amy Miller and works with his mother at the local hospital. After a girl named Madison Bell transfers to his school, he is seduced by her in a one night stand in a pool by having sexual intercourse. Ben, after reflection, finally rejects her in favor of his girlfriend. Madison becomes obsessed with Ben and turns his life into a living hell as the possessive Madison keeps stalking him. She manages to become friendly with Amy, and Ben's mother. After Ben conclusively tells her that he wants nothing to do with her because he is with Amy, the "horror" truly begins as she has a violent Borderline Personality Disorder and will never let him go - even in the face of death.

Fella, girls are crazy. I have all of these movies on DVD (excpet the first 2). I aint telling you guys to go gay cuz that s**t aint for me. All Im saying is get a background check on a girl. One night of passion, can lead to a life time of pain. I give all the films 10 out of 10. Great story, great direction and they all creep me out.

Mr.Hollywood's Why People Buy Bootlegs

(Bootlegs DVD On the Street)

Face it, we all know it. We all seen at least one before. Bootlegs are all over the place. As years go buy, people are getting upset about it. On every DVD now, you see the video where it says "Piracy is a crime". Do I beleive its true? Half yes and half no.I mean, $5 a pop? thats chump change to these Hollywood producer..or is it. I read a girl got arrested recording a movie on her cell phone, she says she was recording it so she can prove to her brother that she was where she told him she was. She had to pay a fine and everything. A piracy expert from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the studio's trade association, and were found to be infringing copies of its members' copyrighted works. The expert testified during trial that camcorded movies were the most common type of movie piracy today, and that piracy causes an estimated annual loss of $3.5 billion worldwide to the movie industry.

(you can find this on any street corner or movie theater)

$3.5 BILLION??!!?! For what? Aint movies $10 to $12 a ticket? Bootlegs cost even less then that. Okay, let me give Carlemile "Mr.Hollywood" Viel 411 on bootlegs (these all arent facts, just my view on things). People sell bootlegs because it dont KILL like drugs. The goverment says it help fund terrioist (yeah right). What it does is take money out of the film makers pocket (Im a film maker, I should know). I mean most film makers are payed during or after the production. It's the producers and the company's distributor thats losing thier money because they put all thier money in. Another reason why people hustle it because it was easier to duplicate and get around. Crack and Bud(marijuana)cost alot of money and probably have a smell. DVDS are easy to transport and is clean.

(bootleg factory)

People buy it because its cheaper. You pay $10 for a movie ticket, for that price you can buy 3 dvds and from my experience people want to watch movies in the comfort of thier own home. As a kid, my mother used to take me to the movies alot. As soon as we got there, she would fall asleep because she was just coming from work. People who work all the time dont have the time to go to the movies, wait til the DVDS are release to see the movies. Some people just cant wait.

Another thing is people know where to find em, its real easy. its everywhere. Everywhere and everyone is selling them. I mean, now the asians are doing it. It's crazy but to call it a crime, I cant agree. I mean selling bootlegs, maybe. Buying, oh come on. I mean people work hard for thier money. They wanna relax and watch a movie. Going to the movies is more than we have in our pockets. It's $10 (or $12) a ticket, $2 for popcorn, $3 to $4 for drinks and $4 to get on the train and bus (goin back and forth) thats like $21 dollars just to see one film. It's cheaper just to get the dvd. Plus after DVDs are release, they cost more then what it cost to see it in theaters. Like $22 alone plus tax. On the streets, $5 a peice but hey Each count carries a maximum statutory penalty of 5 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. Is that worth it for a DVD? I mean come on Hollywood, 25 years for buying a dvd. In closing, I say dont buy it (as a film maker) but as a teen, I say dont get caught.

Actors Are Gonna Lose Thier Day Job

I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!! AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO SAW S1MONE (with Al Pacino). Soon, they not gonna need actors for movies anymore. This is not animation. Its called Motion capture. Its like virtuial realtiy. Mix that with green screen and you have a movie. It's cheaper then have a cast and (with the right equpitment)its cheaper to make unless you making a film like Beowulf. Now from what I heard, the film budget was a 150 million dollars (I think its because for IMAX). Beowulf is a 2007 motion capture film loosely based on the Old English epic poem of the same name. Directed by Robert Zemeckis. Its nothing like "Shrek" or "Toy story". If you take a quick glance you cant tell the difference if its real or fake. Animation supervisor Kenn MacDonald explained that Zemeckis used motion capture because “Even though it feels like live action, there were a lot of shots where Bob cut loose. Amazing shots. Impossible with live action actors. This method of filmmaking gives him freedom and complete control. He doesn’t have to worry about lighting. The actors don’t have to hit marks. They don’t have to know where the camera is. It’s pure performance."

The movie blog says Initial reports stated that Johnny Depp may be brought on board to replace Heath Ledger in H-L's new movie (R.I.P homie). Since the movie involved a character falling through a mirror into an alternate world, it was thought that maybe they could keep Ledger’s performance in the real world, but substitute a different actor for his character in the alternate world. However, according to Christopher Plummer, who plays Doctor Parnassus, Terry Gilliam is currently seeking out a way to use CGI to keep all of Ledger’s scenes in the picture.

I told someone else this and they sent me a link of a virtual Jenna Jameson giving....well lets just say you couldn't tell if it was real or not (it wasnt, all CGI). If they go with that for now on with all films, perpare for the worse. Sooner or later, all films will no longer need actors to play physical parts.

The Film That Changed My Life

I know what you're saying. Out of all films, how did Scarface change my life. The year I became "Mr. Hollywood", that film gave me backbone. Told me what attitude I had to give and show people how serious I am bout what I wanted to do. The film is about a cuban refugge who comes to America for the "American Dream". He wanted it all. The world. Money, Power, Respect but pride led to his fall. This was a great film, Al Pacino is the only person I couldnt figure out his natitonally (it turns out he's Italian). The film made me realize if someone who wasnt even born in the US can accomplished all that, so can I..well I mean not with the drugs but with my films. RISE OF THE UNDERDOG! This film had influence me like crazy, but I guess Im not the only one. Listen to rap music, you can tell that..and from what I heard, the porno industry too.

I heard this on the scarface myspace, I couldnt stop laughing. I didnt believe it. I had to see if it was true, I searched online and there it was. I mean its weird. It's like if someone took your favorite show or book and turn it to a porno, you wouldnt beleive it either. I mean WOW. I didnt see this "movie" but I am curious about it. If I see it in the store, I wont hesitate to buy it. No, its not because of the sex, its for the story. I got to see if it destroy my film (Scarface). If I see it, you guys will be the first to know.

I Wish Everyday Was Negro DAY!

was the line that caught me to this film "Hair Spray" which is a remake of a brodway show which was originaly a movie by John Waters (the director of Serial Mom).

The show is about a lil chubby white girl who wants to be on this show (which is like American Bandstand) and once a week it would be a show just for the blacks. When she finds out that Michelle Phifer was trying to keep the show "white" she tries to break the color barrier with dance and music. Honestly, I wasn't sure if this was going to be good or not. I mean this was real good. Im putting this on my top 3 musical(with Dreamgirls and Rent). I mean for a guy, I know other guys are like "man your gay for this" but this film was good. Great direction, great music and GREAT CAST. I mean WHOA, They killed it (I mean that in a good way). I mean I only watched the film once but I have the DVD so I will be watching it again. I give it a 10 out of a 10. Good music, it had me laughing and hada great story.

Mix Messages Here....

If rap music and music videos wasn't already making today's generation thinking that the "gangsta life" is the way to live, movies are no help here. These days, these kids are trying to copy cat what they see on Tv. Selling whateva, having sex in an early age, tryin to act gangsta and join a gang, I mean dang. Cant no one be different? 1 movie at least tried to prove a point but that really didnt work out...It was Boyz N The Hood.

The movie was suppose to send the message "Increase The Peace". I remember seeing the film for the first time. I was only 8. That film scared me straight. I told myself Im not gonna go trough any of that. The film is simple. Its about a group of boyz trying to survive the hood. Its a drama. How do you make a movie out of that? John Singelton figured that out. He was trying to prove a point that we (the black community) are killing each other..but when you ask everyone from the hood bout the film, what scenes do people talk about? The scenes where someone is shot up and killed. They love it...America love violence....I guess they got the wrong message.

2 years later I saw this film Menace 2 Society, that scared me even more (I always lived in the hood but I was just a kid, I barley even left the house). That film had no message. Just straight shoot em up, smoke it up, live it up and die. Kids saw that film and said "Yo, I cant wait to grow up so I can be just like that". Not me. I loved both the films. The are very entertaining but thats not the life I want to live. I be trough those situation the characters been in. I been in the hood for 18 years. I been up close and personal trough those events and I know how my homies ended up, Im not going trough that route but now to these kids. Its sell drugs, get rich, get shot, go to jail, release a record and make a movie.

Dont get me wrong. I got no beef with 50. I like his music and he is really stepping up in the acting game. This guy is really making money but his first movie, I expected more. More violece to be honest. Its an okay movie, its a semi-biography movie based on 50 Cent's rise to fame. There was a mix message here too. I think the message was no matter what happen to you growing up, you cant get over it and get rich and rise to fame. Other people's view is sell crack, rap, get shot, rap and bam your famous.

(killa season)
Honestly, all these movies are the same theses days. Nothing original anymore. I guess since Camron did that "Paid In Full" film , he thinks he can make movies now. Killa season had to been at least the worst film I saw PERIOD. It was mad long for no reason and the film was about nothing. Just Him and his boyz selling crack, thats it. Everything else was just bull and things he copied from other movie (that scene from Belly was a dead give away). Whats even worse is I heard there will be a sequel. The only reason Im planning to buy it is because I love to watch movies.

Speaking Of Belly, I loved the music, direction, cinemtography, everything bout the film...It had 1 message though, you can change for the good and today's generation is killing each other (as if we didnt know before)but I watch it over and over. Why? CUZ IT's A QUEEN'S MOVIE!!!!!

So basicly, the gangsta lifestyle is fun to watch, fun to potray on camera, the music is cool but at the end of the day its like the WWE. Everything is fun until someone gets hurt and you cant tell what is fake anymore. That's life is not for me but I will forever love the films. I give them all 8 out of 10 (I taken off two points because no one is getting the right messages..excpet Killa season. That only gets 1 point).

Eye for Eye, Blood For Blood

This filmed is based on a book by the guy who wrote "Death Wish" and directed by the writer-director and the original(1st 3)"Saw" films. The story is about a father who avenge his son's death by killing the gang member who killed him. His brother then decides to kills his family. So Kevin Bacon goes crazy and starts off-ing (killing) everyone in the gang. This had a great story but slow pace but it had the greatest action and chase scenes EVER!!!!!. Problem is it took too long to get to those scenes. Thats the reason why I saw the film in the first place. I give it a 8 out of 10. I dont really like the ending, it took tooooooo long to get to the action scenes but the story was great and for James Wan first time directing an action film, he did a great job. Keep up the good work (and stop letting people destroy Saw by adding to more sequels!).

These Are The Type of Film That Reminds You To Go To Church

Now if you know me, you know Im a spritual person. Im a christian but Im still an American (sometimes those two dont mix,..I'll get to that later). One of these films had me repenting my sins, the other had reminded me the type of people that I had to deal with in my old churches.

The Reaping stars Acdamey Award Winnng Hilary Swank. This film had me begging GOd forgivness for all I did wrong because I didnt want to suffer what these people went trough in the film. The the film, the 10 plages from the Bible comes true. The film its crazy. I give it a 8 out of 10 because it was a good film, great direction, great story, sucking ending. They could of came up with something better than that.

David E. Talbert tries to get his Tyler Perry on by doing his first film after a whole bunch of plays. In the film, two guys out of luck decideds to Rob a church for money but problem stirs up when someone already stoled it before them. I cant say this was really that funny. Its a flat comedy. It has its parts but I cant say it was what I expected. I expected more. I give it a 6 out of 10. David tried..better luck next time homie.

Movies Not To Watch In A Hotel

I work at a hotel, daily. Thats a place you need to feel comfy and safe but after these films, Im gonna sleep with my clothes on the next time I go to a hotel because I get flashbacks of what happen in these movie.

Vacancy is about a married couple who marraige is on the rocks after the loss thier child (the kid died). On thier way to thier in laws, they get lost and stay in this small motel where they play some old tape (which is weird because I been to many hotels n motels and I never seen a room with a VCR) and watch these Snuff films that was filmed in thier room. They soon realize they are the new victims of thier motel owner's sick games. This film is soo creepy, you have to sleep with a gun at your side next time you go to a small motel. I gave it a 9 out of a 10m the ending was a little if-fy but was still a great film.

1408 is another Stephen King Adaptions. As always, I love it. I loved "Misery" (all time favorite), loved "Secret Window" and now Im adding 1408 to the list. Theres actually a room 1408 in my hotel because of this film, I dont want to go near that room. The room is the killer itself. It's a host, a monster, you cant run or hide from this room...how can a room be scary, watch the film to find out. I gave it a 10 out of 10, for both direction, story and performance.

This The Type Of Movie That Makes You Wanna Go To School

Oprah produces and Denzel directs his second film with "The Great Debators". This was really good. Entertaning, heart warming, insprational and had some dramatic sccenes. I loved the story, the cast, thier performance and because it is a true story,(I already knew the ending before I even read about the film)I love it even more. This story is about a struggling all black debate team who is against all odds. No one expect them to accomplished. This was the times before Martin Luther King jr. This is around 1930's. I saw this movie with my best friend Rodney Hill and after the movie, I just got up and felt like making something out of myself. Its that good of a film. If it's still in theaters, go check it out. If not, the DVD will come out in a few months (DVDs come out quicker theses days).

The Ultimate Action Movie

SHOOT EM UP does excatly what the titles says. The body count is over 800. Some people hated on this movie saying it was cartoonish and un-realistic. So what? big whoop!!! Its a movie, nothing is realistic in most film these days. This is another film where Clive Owen has protect someone (this time its a baby). The story is hard to explain. It deals with gun and poltics. Something we all can enjoy and hate at the same time. I give it a 10 out of 10 because I love action movies and this is the best one to me.

My Top 3 Films Foreigners Shouldnt See B4 Coming 2 America

If you have family or friends who live out of our country (ALL 50 States) and they are on thier way to America. There are a few films they shouldnt see before they get over here. I picked 3.

Havoc will give them a bad look at America. Espeically at the teenagers. You think the black youth was bad? Wait til you see these Surburben kids trying to act "Ghetto" and "hood" and "Gangsta", tryin to have the "thug life" even though they live off their parents in their mansion, with money in their pocket and a silver spoon right up thier butt. These teenagers whose exposure to hip hop culture inspires them to imitate the "gangsta lifestyle". They soon run into trouble when they confront a gang of Latino drug dealers. The suburban teens come to understand that they aren't as street wise as they thought This might scare people out of America or say Americans are stupid and viloent. I know one thing, if I had that much money and have me a mansion? I would never leave the house. Let them white kids take what we got and we take what they have (talking bout the kids in the movie), I bet they wont be so comftable after that....but if you live in America..the film is entertaining, its an okay drama..it's one of those films that makes you think..I give it a 7 out of 10.

If you thought American's were violent in "Havoc", wait til you see "Hostel 2" (which also stars Bijou Phillips, who was in Havoc). I couldn't decide which horror film to pick. It was either Halloween, Hostel 1, Vacancy or Texas Chainsaw massacure but this one takes the cake. This films show how brutal and nasty Americans are. America's thirst for blood. This is one of those movies people are calling torture porn (a genre that depict nudity, torture, mutilation and sadism). This movie will make you not want to travel. I love it as a horror movie, give it a 10 out of a 10 but I will not show it to anyone who dont live in the US of A.

Last but not least, BORAT. One of the funniest mockumentary known to man. Why cant you show this? If they see this foreigner acting this way, what make you think they not gonna think what he did was not in-apporiate. Like the things he did, we would get arrested for. So, in conculsion, that film (and every film above) is for AMERICANS ONLY!!!!!

My Favorite Richard Gere Film

This film is another true story. Another film that stars Terrance Howard (I might as well have a photo of him in my house cause I see more of him in movies then I see my family and friends in person)and Richard Gere. Terrance Howard is a camera man who is closed to this jornulist played by Richard. They was great in the 80's and then became washed up. To revive his career, he takes along his friend and thier new crew member across the contry looking for this terriost so they can interview and capture him. This film is soo crazy because the craziest parts are all true. You have to see it, I give it a 10 out of a 10 (and you know I dont do that alot). If someone does a story about my life, I want it in the way this film was written and filmed.

We get Invavded Again

This Is The Remake to the original film "Attack of The Body Snatchers". If you seen "The Faculty", you're gonna love this. I know I did. I give it a 10 out of 10. Its not your average alien movie and this is the first film Nicole Kidman starred in and wasnt dry. Great script, great cast, great direction. It all felt real, it gave me everything I wanted. If it was still in theaters, i would of told you to rush there but its on DVD now, so get yourself a copy or rent it.

Jenny Cant Be Hated For THIS

Yo, Im giving this a straight 10 out of 10 before I even give you the review (not because I loved the music, loved the script and love spanish women and the culture...okay maybe)but because of the performance of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. I mean I seen Jenniefer act before and the only work I seen Marc did what "Man On Fire". He pulled this off. I love this film, it was sooo goood. This film is a true story about Hector Lavoe. He was the one who opened the gate for "salsa" music. I loved the direction of the film and just everything about it. Get the dvd

Illegal Tender Review

This is good, this was real good. This made me realize I really do have a thing for spanish chicks (this and when I saw "Desperado" when I was 13). This is written and Directed by the same guy who made "Empire" (films like theses really makes me want to get on a plane and go straight to a Spanish islands and get me a mama sita) In this film, a son pay for the consequence of his father who was a drug dealer who had beef with another one. Knowing that his son and wife is still alive, they feel like they have to hunt them down and kill em so the son fights back. In the begining, the son was like a bi...well im gonna say wussy but he toughens up trough out the film and becomes a real man and shows some respect to his mother. I give it a 10 out of 10. Everything felt real about the film, I love the whole thing. I loved the action, loved the music, loved the script and love (as always) the spanish women and the spanish culture.

To Bad A BlackOut Didnt Happen When It Was On Tv

I dont think we needed a reminder bout the blackout we had in 2003, I wasnt even in town for it. It was okay, the film could of been...better I gues. I dont know. This film was if-fy. I dont remember what I was expecting in the film. I was going to buy the dvd but it came on BET the day before I did. Im not sure if I still want it now, maybe just to keep in my collection of DVDs but its an okay movie with an okay cast. At least it was giving a chance to struggling black actors to be in the film...so support it. Dont wait for it to be back on BET, get yourself a copy and remember what happens in the film so you can be ready for another blackout just in case.

Another Star Wars Parody....

This was actually good. Im a huge Family Guy and I am a Star Wars fan. This would make a star wars fan out of you. Its 40 mins, has some jokes only you will get if you saw the original star wars. I say buy the DVD or wait for the re-run on FOX.

SOMEBODY WRITE A BETTER SCRIPT

You know when you going to to eat and you been thinking bout a meal all day and then you finaly get what you want and you look at it and wonder, WTF is this? This will be one of them. I know it must seems like Im hating on Omarion's work, but for this film its not him. It's Chris Stokes fault. I mean, I thought he did a bad job with House Party four (and You Got Served saved his directing career)but this film took him down a step. Marques, Omarion, thier girlfriends and a few friends(who ALL just happened to be white) of their's go to a cabin in the woods (that already sounds like bad news). They have a party for Marque's girlfriend's 21st birthday...(didnt anyone one of them seen Scream or Scary Movie...they were setting themselves up for a fall). As the party dies down, so does the cast. The film is like Hostel without a good script. The Film was okay and the blood and gore looked real but the story was flat. At least the cast was great and I was laughing like crazy when Marques dipped on his boy when the killer walks into the room. The film gets a 5 out of 10 (which is better then what I gave house party for (I gave that a 1). Dont rent, dont buy. Wait for it to come back on BET and tape it.
